Valentine's Felt Fortune Cookies

Today's Craft: Valentine's Felt Fortune Cookies.
I decided to make for my daughter's classmates some felt fortune Valentine's Cookies.
I did a thorough search throughout the web and found some simple to make.
I bought six very cute heart pattern square felts.  You can cut-out five or six 4 inch diameter circles to start.
I decided to sew mine, instead of using glue, because these cookies would be for 8-yr-olds.
After sewing them, I inserted in each an individually wrapped life saver.
My daughter made Valentine's messages for each of her classmates in the computer and printed them out on matching yellow paper.  After that, she cut the paper with patterned craft edge scissors and we inserted these inside the cookies, just leaving out the name for each recipient.
Below are the finished pieces:

Nautical Baby Shower Artsy Craftsy Ideas

Well, as I'm writing I'm planning my baby shower and wanted to share the ideas I've come up with browsing the internet and looking at friends showers.  First of all I've decided on a nautical theme.  I found some sailboat centerpieces at stumpsparty.com.  As decorations and party favors I'm doing mini blue buckets with round labels.  Each label is in the form of a life preserver and it states "For your safety, please take a life preserver."  Inside the bucket I added tulle bags with life savers, and closed them with a ribbon that says "It's a Boy."

This is it for today.  I will continue adding information on this theme as I go along.  Any questions, feel free to contact me or leave any comments.
